Overview
Pelvic Floor
Urinary incontinence, commonly referred to as bladder weakness, is a widespread issue affecting many women, with 1 in 3 experiencing this condition. It is often linked to weakened bladder control and involuntary urine leakage, significantly impacting quality of life and self-confidence. Understanding the various types of urinary incontinence is essential for accurate diagnosis and the development of an effective treatment plan.
The three primary types of urinary incontinence are stress, urge, and mixed. Stress incontinence occurs when urine leakage happens during activities that put pressure on the bladder, such as laughing, coughing, sneezing, running, jumping, or lifting. This type of incontinence is commonly caused by weakened pelvic floor muscles, which can result from childbirth or menopause in women, and prostate surgery in men.
At 3D Aesthetics, we offer an advanced, non-invasive solution to help alleviate symptoms of urge incontinence using the 3D Powerform V device. This cutting-edge technology employs High-Intensity Focused Electro-Magnetic (HIFEM) energy to deliver the equivalent of 20,000 muscle contractions in just a 30-minute session. By directly targeting the pelvic floor muscles, Powerform goes beyond the limitations of traditional kegel exercises, generating deep contractions equivalent to approximately 15,000 kegels in just half an hour. This non-invasive treatment utilises HIFEM technology to achieve results far superior to those achievable through manual kegel exercises alone.
Because the treatment directly targets the pelvic floor muscle without requiring neuromuscular control, the muscle can contract far more intensely than it would consciously, creating highly effective results that cannot be achieved with manual kegel exercises alone. In simple terms, this is Advanced Technology Accelerated Muscle Stimulation. The High-Intensity Focused Electro-Magnetic muscle stimulation technology also triggers the body’s natural production process to create new muscle fibres and proteins, further strengthening and toning the pelvic floor. Additionally, it improves the neuromuscular connections between the brain and bladder, significantly reducing the symptoms of urge incontinence.
Suitable for both women and men of all ages, this 30-minute treatment is performed while the client remains fully clothed, offering a completely non-invasive and pain-free experience. A course of 6–8 treatments is generally recommended to achieve optimal results, with some clients noticing significant improvements after just one session.
